István Székely (1962–) is a Transylvanian Hungarian political scientist and politician. He graduated from the Századvég Political School in 1993. Until 1995, he studied political science at Eötvös Lóránd University. In 1995–1997 he was a main rapporteur of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (DAHR). In 1997–1999, he was a main head of department of the DAHR and executive vice president. From 2001 to 2011, he was a head of office of the DAHR. Between 1997 and 1999 he was the vice president of the Jakabffy Elemér Foundation. Since 1999, he has served as the president of the Foundation.
