The István Darkó Legacy – Péter Egyed Private Collection, beside the documentary material of unconventional childhood activity and the sole appreciable Transylvanian Hungarian radio play of the Romanian communist regime, contains writings that – in form of fantastic stories, evading the censorship of the time – made possible the representation of an “Other“ world completely different from the Party ideology.

Zbirka novinskih izrezaka o Ivanu Aralici sadrži novinske članke, dokumente i pisma koji prikazuju polemiku u jugoslavenskom tisku 1985.  ̶  1986. Tada su pripadnici Saveza udruženja boraca Narodnooslobodilačkog rata (SUBNOR) u Zadru pokušali proglasiti romanopisca Aralicu politički nepodobnim za književno stvaralaštvo u socijalističkom društvu zbog sudjelovanja u „kontrarevolucionarnom“ hrvatskom proljeću (1967.  ̶  1971.). Zbirka pruža jedinstven materijal za proučavanje mikropovijesti cenzure putem pritiska na javno mnijenje. 

Ivan Blatný (1919–1990), an important Czech poet, lived and died in exile in the United Kingdom after 1948. Upon arrival in the UK, he applied for political asylum and became a “banned” poet in Czechoslovakia as a result of his emigration and openly talking on BBC radio about political pressure against artists in Czechoslovakia. Despite being banned, his work circulated in Czechoslovakia through both samizdat and official printings.

The Czechoslovak Students’ Movement of the 1960s Collection (Ivan Dejmal Collection) at the Libri Prohibiti Library contains valuable sources documenting Czechoslovak students’ movement in the 1960s, and especially during the years 1968 and 1969. Materials, which were collected by the leading Czechoslovak student activist Ivan Dejmal, illustrate, among other things, students’ activities during the so-called “Prague Spring” or reactions of students’ milieu to Jan Palach’s self-immolation in 1969.
